Astra Vevey Hotel & Restaurant

While the cost of the accommodation was high (but hey, that's Switzerland), relatively, it was well worth it. The location is excellent, central in town and a walk across the road to the train station (I came to Vevey from Geneva). The room was like a modern and very well maintained motel room, with a hot and strong shower/bath, a very comfortable bed, and basic but useful facilities, including a desk (I was there for work, after all!). The breakfast provided an excellent start to the day, with a good variety of high quality food, with the bonus of wonderfully friendly staff. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the stay, and, cost aside, I'd gladly stay there again. Very highly recommended!

very comfortable beds, blackout curtains, gym, spa and wellness, room we stayed in was modern, spacious and cosy and enabled us to relax in. Nice modern bathroom with anti slip flooring and separate shower cubicle and bathtub and two wash basins. Nespresso machine in room. Bathrobes and slippers. Well stocked mini bar. Housekeeping is exceptional, friendly and efficient. Our room was refreshed each day before lunchtime. The food in the historic Restaurant is excellent and the staff are delightful. It was so good that we stopped going elsewhere. The outdoor patio is a relaxing spot where a drink can be enjoyed, nice bar area too with daily newspapers in various languages. Multi lingual staff at reception and restaurant. Location is city centre next to train station and a short walk to the beautiful lake shore.

Excellent location in town centre, near railway station with connections to rest of Switzerland & a short walk from the promenade & lakeside of glorious Lake Geneva. Quality furniture & linen. Reception, bar & restaurant attractive & welcoming. Food was good & after we discovered they were happy to let us share dishes we ate there 4 out of 7 evenings. Good storage for a 7 night stay.

Room was well designed, spacious and breakfast area was easy to move around to select the dishes being served.

This was our second stay at the hotel and we were very pleased both times. We had a lovely room with a small balcony, it was modern, air conditioned and the bed was very comfortable! The hotel is close to everything so we could reach all of the things we wanted on foot, however a free transportation card was also provided. We booked without breakfast but decided to eat in the hotel on the last morning, it was nice to have this flexible option. The staff were very kind and accommodating to our requests!
